The 2008 Augusta Annual Christmas Candlelight Walk is now a warm memory. Make plans to attend next year’s event on Friday, December 4 & 11, 2009. You won’t want to miss it!
Luminaries will once again light the streets of Augusta where visitors to the historic village can enjoy holiday shopping or feast on meals at the local restaurants. The wineries will be open for tasting and purchasing of wine and gifts. The Town Square will be warmed by a bonfire, where you will find chestnuts roasting, holiday music playing, cold beer and hot brats. A stroll through town to enjoy the beautifully decorated homes will put you in the holiday spirit.
Make a weekend of it by staying with us. Enjoy Christmas cookies and hot apple cider served with plenty of rest and relaxation.

This is a popular dish at the B&B and a family tradition for Thanksgiving morning. Enjoy!
1 loaf of dense cinnamon raisin bread ~ 8 egg yolks ~ 4 cups heavy cream ~ 1 cup sugar ~ 1 teaspoon salt ~ 1/4 cup vanilla
Butter a 9 x 13 baking dish. Cut bread into cubes; spead out in baking dish. Whisk together the egg yolks, cream, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Pour mixture over bread. Use a spoon or spatula to press the cream mixture into the bread. Cover tightly with aluminum foil for one hour or overnight. Preheat oven to 325. Put covered dish in oven and bake for 1 hour. Remove aluminum foil and continue baking until golden and puffy, about 1/2 hour more. Serve with butter and syrup.
